Marie Potter decorated leather pouffe, Note: This and the following 25 lots are from the collection of the artist Marie Potter. Recognised for her achievements and contribution to the arts at all levels in New Zealand over the last thirty years, it is as an award winning, innovative, multi-media artist, that her potential to contribute to the broader contemporary art cultural discourse around issues of history and identity and social issues that should be most valued. Many of her earlier works were leather based with two included in this offering from her collection together with works by artist friends and acquaintances. A full resume and biographical details available. A survey show of Marie's artwork will be held at Depot Artspace 27th April - 22nd May.
