A very rare Wedgwood and Bentley Variegated pearlware shield shaped double handled vase on basalt foot, cast fluted body with raised gilt handles, unusual spiral moulded incised design to the neck of vase. Gilt festoons around shoulders of vase. Note: very unusual to have original guilding and cover also applied 'wafer Wedgwood & Bentley' mark, circa 1770-1775, height 28 cm.
