A Hermann Gradl (1869-1934) for Nymphenburg, Belle Epoque Fish Service 1899-1975, contour print on porcelain, includes a fish platter, six plates & a sauce boat Notes: The service was premiered in 1900 at the Paris World Exhibition, where it was awarded the 'Grand Prix' as one of the most successful examples of the Floral Munich Style of Art Nouveau. Contour Prints: contours of the fish were at the time and still are printed using copper plates on silk paper. The contour print is then transferred to the plates.
