Chinese Qing Dynasty brocade panel, c.1850, from a dragon robe, of rectangular form, depicting a dragon floating in the cloud filled sky with the flaming pearl of wisdom, in tones of blue, green, cream, brown and red, 52 cm x 41 cm catalogue note: the iconography relates to the Chinese concept of the Universe with the earth, represented by the mount, the sea represented by the waves and the cloud filled sky.
