A set of two low-back mixed wood armchairs, Meiguiyi and a side table, each chair with a straight crestrail continuing to the back posts enclosing a rectangular openwork panel carved with a ruyi -shaped panel flanked by dragons with scrolling tails, the straight arms inset on three sides with scroll bordered dragon motifs, joined to the canework seat with pierced dragon roundels, the slightly splayed legs joined by a shaped and beaded apron similarly carved with dragons and scrolls and with stepped stretchers, the matching rectangular side table with flush panel top supported on slightly splayed legs joined by shaped and beaded aprons above a single shelf, the chairs 86 cm high, 61 cm wide, 46 cm deep, the table 73 cm high, 46 cm wide, 36 cm deep.
