A George III sterling silver sugar basin, 1834 London, with maker's mark for John James Whiting (slight overstamping), the basin of waisted high shouldered tapering form with partitioned reserves, to the collar with floral designs on a lightly textured ground, twin, scrolling handles with fruit and husk designs, a shaped skirt and vegetal, whorl feet, hallmarked to mid section, silver weight 440gr height 12 cm
