Description:
A Japanese framed Ukiyo-E triptych, Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (1839-1892), Meiji period, framed illustration of Ladies-in-waiting boarding at a station (Kanjo suteshon chakusha zu), 1879. Signed Taiso Yoshitoshi. Good impression and colours, 34.6 cm x 70.5 cm. Other Notes: Yoshitishi is regarded as the last great master of the ukiyo-e woodblock printing. His early works show extreme depictions of violence and death whilist his last years were among his most productive when he produced series such as the 'One hundred Aspects of the Moon' (1885-1892) and 'New forms of thirty-six Ghosts' (1889-1892), as well as triptychs with Kabuki actors,
