Johnson's Dictionary, together with two works by Boswell, Samuel Johnson, a Dictionary of the English language: 4to, two vols, sixth edition, London, J.F. Rivington, L. Davis, T. Payne & Son [et al], 1785. Half leather, the early boards rebacked, the first volume with engraved frontispiece portrait of Johnson, together with a Folio Society edition of Boswell's life of Johnson, and volumes of Boswell's Journal. Other Notes: the sixth edition of Johnson's Dictionary, published the year after his death, was the last edition to incorporate his own revisions and additions to his earlier work.
