Full leather, the contemporary mottled calf boards rebacked, apparently complete with an engraved frontispiece portrait of Sir Robert Walpole, four engraved folding plates of floor-plans and elevations of Houghton, and an engraved frontispiece portrait of lady Walpole preceding the final part of the work, book-plate of the Reverend S. Harper to the front paste-down, early pen and ink annotations to the floor-plans and as occasional corrections to the text.
