A Victorian Coalbrookdale 'Serpent and Grapes' pattern cast iron garden seat, each end cast with a dog's head terminal to the armrest above a support of an entwined serpent and fruiting grape vine, the ends now painted green, the design number 17597 and lozenge registration marks cast to the inside of each end, 79 cm high, 153 cm wide, 73 cm deep. This particular seat appeared in a scene in the 1977 Australian film, 'The Getting of Wisdom'.
