Fine 19th century French kingwood vitrine, in the manner of Francois Linke, of rectangular form, above a gilt and ormolu frieze, displaying a panel of playing putto releasing a bird form a cage, surrounded by an ormolu border, set with a bevelled glass door opening to shelves, flanked by bevelled glass sides, set with masked ormolu mounts, the lower frieze of the cabinet set with ormolu mounts in the form of musical instruments, the whole raised on four tapering legs 42 x 68 x 40 cm.
