A fine Christmas themed sterling silver mounted claret jug, 1873 London with maker's mark for Martin hall, with a scalloped matt collar engraved with a holly border, a bead decorated, and scroll bracket handle, a Bacchanalian mask and inebriated putti to the cast spout, the tapering body etched throughout with holly foliage, a star, burst to the base, hallmarked to the collar and lid, height 25 cm
