Winchester 'One of One Thousand' Model 1894 carbine in .30-30 Winchester calibre. Butt and forend of high grade walnut with very fine checkering, barrel with gilt 'One of One Thousand', etc., action and all furniture extensively engraved and gilt. Serial number 4493000. In its high grade fitted brown leather case, a superb example of a rare gun, complete with its original printed carton with fitted lines as well as the leather case. Together with its certificate from Cesare Giovanelli 'the Italian engraver' guaranteeing that this is one of 250 specifically engraved examples done specifically for Winchester.
