A signed Satsuma bowl, Meiji period, 1868-1912, with signature below shimazu family crest (rubbed), exquisitely decorated with Kannon and the Rakan immortals to the interior, five fan shaped panels to the exterior populated with figural narrative, scenes in colours with delicate gilding upon stippled backgrounds and enclosed by ornate brocaded borders and patterns, with bordered black, cartouche underside, height 6 cm, diameter 14 cm
