A tall square porcelain vase, with mask ring handles, a Daoguang mark in iron red, 1820-1850, on the recessed base, the coral red vase has two panels painted with magpies on a flowering branch. Note: coral red and magpies were a favourite design of the Empress dowager, Cixi, who was the power behind the throne from 1861-1908., height 42 cm, width 18 cm
