A pendant by J. R. Gaunt, London, in the form of an angel with red Cross and 'Star and Garter Richmond' emblem, engraved on reverse 'Cecil D. Giles, 14th July 1917'. The Star and Garter home was a hospital for permanently wounded and disabled soldiers, converted from a hotel and donated to Queen Mary in 1916. In an edition of ladies pictorial, December 1915, it was written that 'Richmond will indeed be proud to have such heroes in her midst'. Presented in original box
