A Chinese export painting of a couple taking tea in an interior, Chinese School, circa 1820, oil on canvas, painted with a Chinese official and his consort in a traditional Chinese home, both seated in an armchair beside a side table, their hands raised holding up a cup of tea, elegantly attired, he wearing a semi-formal blue robe with rank badge and she a blue robe over a yellow pleated skirt, a female attendant carrying a lacquer box looking through a large window to one side, black lacquer export frame, 47.5 x 61.5 cm, 61 x 74.5 cm overall.
