A large Qing-style hardwood brushpot, the sides carved in relief with the Eighteen Luohan variously occupied in a continuous rocky landscape of pine and other trees and shrubs, one seated on an elephant, another resting beside a recumbent deer and another on a tiger, whilst others sit in meditation on rocky ledges, a dragon descending from cloud scrolls above, 23.5 cm high
