A Chinese Yixing Zisha Li bi teapot attributed to Heng Mao, late Ching Dynasty, late 19th century, of globular hu form, potted from deep purplish-red clay, with a richly textured li bi (pear skin) finish, plaided string joining the teapot handle to the lid. Seven character inscription to the base reading 'the brook sings after the rain' and signed Heng Mao, 9 cm high, 12 cm wide.
