A Nepalese gilt bronze figure of Chaturbuja Avalokiteshvara 16th century, the high copper-content gilt bronze four-armed figure of Avalokiteshvara is seated in padmasana on a double lotus base, with two hands joined in anjali mudra, the other two in vitarka mudra, with a lotus flower emanating from the left hand, the figure crowned and elaborately jewelled with a pearl, turquoise and coloured glass, 18 cm high, 12.5 cm wide.
