An Eastern Indian bronze figural Matrika group 10th/11th century, the bronze group depicting the three Matrikas seated in a row: Brahmi, Kumari and Vaishnavi, flanked by Kubera and Ganesh, on a stepped footed base, 10 cm high, 18.5 cm wide, 4.5 cm wide. Provenance: Purchased from Alan Myren, Zen gallery, Adelaide. Other Notes: an almost identical group is in the British Museum.
