A Japanese woodblock print Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (1839-1892), circa 1885 from the series of thirty three prints, Yoshitoshi musha burui -Yoshitoshi's Courageous Warriors., the print entitled, 'Taira Sokoku Kiyomori calls back the setting sun'. Signed Taiso Yoshitoshi Ga. 2nd edition, C.1885, 31.5 cm x 21.5 cm other Notes: This series dates from the end of Yoshitoshi's career, when he was forty-four and very shortly before his well-known masterpieces, 'One hundred Aspects of the Moon' (1885-1892) and 'New Forms of thirty-six Ghosts' (1889-1892).
