A Chinese carved cinnabar lacquer vase with stand 19th century, the body of the vase relief carved all over with the sanduo (peaches, pomegranates and finger citron) amongst chrysanthemum, lotus, magnolia, peonies, plum blossom and other flowers, between ruyi and lappet borders, the stand decorated with scrolling peonies, 35.5 cm high, 23 cm diameter. Provenance: old paper lable to the base of the stand reading 'Ovington's New York 9-17863'.
