A mahogany longcase clock, by John Aspinwall Liverpool, circa 1800, circular silvered dial framed by pierced spandrels, foliate engraved centre with subsidiary seconds dial and concentric calendar, signed John Aspinwall, Liverpool. The upper arch displays a hand painted landscape scene above two brass hemisphere. The well figured case of rich colour, with swan neck cresting and central floral finial to hood, shaped top to the trunk door flanked by gilt metal mounted columns, raised on bracket feet, 241 cm high, 53 cm wide and 26 cm deep
