A Victorian sterling silver Armada pattern wine ewer, Martin Hall & Co. / London / circa 1876, of typical form with spring-action scroll handle, bearing the Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom above the Royal artillery crest to one side and the intials Ab (presumably artillery Battalion or Brigade) to the other, stamped Pearce & Co. Leeds to rim on base, 1310 gms silver, approximately, 36 cm high (including handle), 16 cm at widest point. Provenance: Inherited in 1981, and originally purchased in the 1950s in England
