King Mp, 'With Reference to the Zionist Battalion, I Should Be Glad If You Would Let Me Have Your Reasons For Reconsideration of This Proposal and Also Your Recommendations of This Proposal.', adding in manuscript 'The Subject Is New to Me', the Jewish Legion was the name for 5 battalions of Jewish volunteers established as the British army's 38th through 42nd Battalions of the Royal Fusiliers. on April 25, 1915, together with the first British, Australian, New Zealand and French troops, the Jewish Legion landed on Gallipoli peninsula.
