1930's Shipwrights sea chest and tools from the Pamir a four masted barque bult in German 1905, she was purpose designed and built for the Chilean & Cape Horn nitrate trade. The chest was the property of Alan Rogerson. Alan Rogerson joined the Pamir as Deck boy for voyage 10, New Zealand- UK-Europe-New Zealand, during which he was promoted to Ordinary Seaman (OS), when the Pamir was given to G. Erickson, Alan continued on the ship for the voyage 11 from Australia to Europe and was promoted to Able Bodied Seamen (AB) It is believe he was the only boatswain to have served as such in the fully rigged ship 'Pamir'
