Australia in South Africa 1949-50: An official team sheet headed 'Australia XI, South Africa 1949-50 signed by all 15 in the Tour party including Hassett (Capt.), Morris (Vice Capt.), Harvey, Lindwall, Loxton, Saggers and Langley. (some fading). Beautifully annotated by hand in gold and black ink and accompanied by the official team photograph, titled 'Australian Touring Cricket Team' signed in the margins and all clear and legible. Both the team sheet and the team photograph are rare. A lovely presentation; acid free mounting, framed and glazed, overall 104.4 x 56.5 cm. Australia won the 5 match Test Series 4-0, with 1 drawn. This was the first meeting of these two sides since the 1935-36 Series. Neil Harvey made centuries in 4 Tests, including the 5th Test in which he made 116, Morris made 157 and Hassett made 167 in Australia's total of 7 dec. for 549.
