Prussian 1889 pattern bayonet, Palace Guards star to grip, narrow three bar guard to hilt embossed with Prussian eagle holding sceptre and sword with arms of Kaiser Wilhelm ll on breast. Good wire bound fish skin grip, stitched leather strap portapee with solid gilt tassel. bi-fullered 3/4 inch broken blade 15 1/2 inch long with reshaped point, etched Eisenhaues in gothic script. Ricasso double proofed, marked WX & C under Crown and Helm (founded 1883 see note) All with an untouched patina. No scabbard. GC
