Antoine Bofill (1875-1925) Spanish La Comparaison c.1905 gilded bronze on marble base, foundry marked to base, R Patrouilleau edit Paris, patina worn to head, torso, back & base signed, titled to base Provenance: Chilton's, Miranda 2007, height 20 cm, height 23 cm incl. Base. Other Notes: the artist was a Spanish sculptor who worked in Paris, rue Vercingetorix. Born in Barcelona, studied at the Academy des Beaux-Art. Exhibited in Spain & France small figures & small groups cast in bronze. Exhibited at the Paris salon in 1894 & 1910
