Bronze Mercury and Fortuna figures on pedestals based on the model by the master renaissance sculptor Giambologna, these wonderful later bronze sculptures depict Mercury standing out of a cherubic mouth base with arm and winged leg raised to the heavens and donning a winged helmet and holding the staff of hermes. Fortuna in the same position, standing on a half buried wheel but holding a cornucopia of coins.
