William Ricketts (Australian, 1899-1993), fountain sculpture, 1938, hand built earthenware, featuring a small circular plate above three crouching figures upon a shallow circular dish with domed centre glazed in iron oxide, incised to base 'W. M. Ricketts - potter's Sanctuary Mt Dandenong - Feb 18th 1938', height 13.5 cm diameter 26 cm. Provenance: Private Collection, NSW, thence by descent, possible maquette for a water feature intended for the potter's Sanctuary in Mt Dandenong
