An important 19th century adjustable library chair, Circa 1845, Tasmania, the rectangular adjustable back upholstered with horsehair within a simple blackwood frame over padded arms on scrolled supports above an over stuffed seat with a retractable foot rest set within the moulded seat rail, raised on lotus leaf carved legs terminating in brass castors.
