A late 18th century sterling silver old English pattern flatware service, by Peter and Anne Bateman, dating between 1791 and 1799, whilst some items have rubbed marks, all appear to be by Pater and Ann Bateman, all items are plain (unengraved) excepting the soup ladle which is crested with an arm with a cinquefoil, comprising twelve each of table spoons, table forks, dessert forks, dessert spoons, teaspoons, a pair of sauce ladles, a soup ladle and a basting spoon, together with twelve table knives, unmarked, with modern replacement blades, pistol grip leaf capped handles, the handles crested with a stag, 2,370gms (76)
