A cinnabar lacquer vase, carved with a continuous scene of figures in a garden, Qing Dynasty, 18th/19th century, against a back drop of mountain peaks, on a diamond diaper pattern, the rounded body with a slender neck and a low waist on a splayed foot, intricate floral design on the shoulder, neck and toward the foot between narrow bands of key fret pattern. Condition: Converted to a lamp in the 1990s, drilled base, height 34 cm
