A Japanese late Meiji period ivory kodansu (miniature cabinet), with two panelled doors opening to reveal four drawers, the top, sides and doors decorated with fine intaglio carvings depicting acrobats and a musician, geisha and samurai, children and attendants. Fitted with silver capped corners, conforming hinges and menuki-like handles. Signature and seal to the back panel. 13 cm x 8.5 cm x 11.5 cm. Provenance: The Flower Family Collection.
