A 19th century finely carved tortoiseshell Chinese circular table snuff box, intricately carved to the slightly domed lid with figures and pavilions in a wooded landscape, the sides with leafy border to the top and buildings to the base, the base with figures in gardens and pavilions. The interior engraved 'To James Hamilton Esq. from his affectionate Son George'. Diameter 10 cm. Slight insect damage. Provenance: The Flower Family Collection.
