A gilt bronze figure of Amitayus Qing dynasty, 18th century, seated on a double lotus base in dhyanasana with hands in dhyanamudra, wearing a dhoti and trailing scarf around the shoulders, with an elaborate jewelled necklace adorning the bare chest and large earrings, the face with serene expression and downcast gaze, and the hair drawn up behind a five-leaf diadem into a high tiered topknot surmounted by a gilt jewel, the flesh areas painted matt gold, the hair with traces of pigments. 22.5 cm high.
