An unusual pair of octagonal huanghuali and hongmu side cabinets, 20th century, each with flush panelled top within a mitred frame with moulded and beaded edge above a narrow waist, the panelled sides within moulded borders with beaded edges, the front with a single drawer above a pair of removable panelled doors, all set with metal lock receptacles and pulls, supported on short waisted corner feet, -2, 59 cm high, 62.5 cm wide, 49.5 cm deep. This lot is sold with a Tomlinson Antique House certificate of antiquity, describing these side cabinets as huanghuali and dating them to the Qing dynasty.
