A Ming-style hardwood desk tray, 20th century, of square form with open galleried sides, the corner supports extending to form the short legs, one side inset with two secret drawers, the wood with attractive grain and colour. 10.5 cm high, 34.5 cm wide, 34.5 cm deep. Compare with a jichi wood desk tray dated to the Ming dynasty, illustrated by Wang Shixiang Chinese Classic Furniture p. 238 pl. 161, from the author's collection.
