A carved bamboo brushpot Bitong, Qing dynasty, 19th century, the cylindrical sides carved in relief with sages and attendants travelling along rocky paths towards pavilions set among pine, willow and other trees in a continuous mountain landscape, incised on one side with the two-character mark Gu Jue and seal Zong Yu. 15 cm high.
