A bronze 'mythical beasts and grapevine' mirror, Tang dynasty, cast with a central knop of a crouching beast encircled by four further beasts and two peacocks among leafy fruiting vines within a raised ring, the outer band with birds among clusters of grapes borne on scrolling stems, dark patina, fitted box, together with a bronze 'figural' mirror, probably Han dynasty, cast with a frieze of figures interspersed with quatrefoil bosses, within a band of raised characters and scrollwork, dark patina, fitted box. -2. 16.8 cm diameter 22.5 cm diameter.
