A Le Verre Francais vase, French, circa 1920, the compressed ovoid body with a linear acid-etched design, overlaid in blue glass on an iridescent ground, inlaid 'candy cane' mark to the underside, 20 cm high. Provenance: Fine Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Related Wares, Oriental and European Ceramics, Furniture and Works of Art, Sotheby's Australia, Melbourne, 11 November 1987, lot 144. Mr Hans Mueller and Mrs Gertrud Mueller, Sydney, acquired from the above.
