Rare Italian plaque by Giovanni Battista Gatti 1816 - 1889 the ebony, ivory and semi-precious stone inlaid decorative plaque, centred with a rectangular panel depicting a milk glass cameo of a garlanded young woman set within an elaborate cartouche and surrounded with floral and foliate scrolls, within a mount set with semi-precious stones above a pediment with finely inlaid ivory, lapis lazuli, and a coloured central semi-precious stone. 30 x 25 cm (approx)
