A late George III Turkish Market bracket clock, Thomas Dean, London, circa 1825, the case of green Vernis Martin with painted floral decoration. On top of the case a central faceted crystal dome mounted on a raised block trimmed with a brass gallery. Above the crystal dome a tapering gilt brass sphere with a smaller spherical mount. Similar mounts to each corner of the case. The sides of the case with gilt brass frets with brass handles above. The gilt brass trimmed front door with serpentine sides. The case decorated to each corner with gilt brass caryatids and raised on gilt brass scroll feet. The break arch silvered dial with Roman & Arabic numerals and blue steel hands. Dial signed Thos Dean- 25 Dempsey street- Commerical Road- London. Silent strike in arch with engraved corners to each dial. Eight day, twin fusee, bell striking movement with anchor escapement, 72 cm high, 35 cm wide, 20 cm deep
