A hand built stoneware flattened form pot, by Marea Gazzard (1928-2013), circa 1965 of oval footed form with burnished textured finish and glazed interior, 27 cm x 20 cm. Provenance: Margaret Vine purchased from his private view at the Johnstone Gallery, Brisbane, 14 March 1965. Exhibitions: Gazzard's work has been displayed in a multitude of solo and group shows and her ceramics have been acquired by many cultural institutions, such as the National Gallery of Australia, the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Powerhouse Museum.
