A vintage opal brooch and a ruby tie pin the brooch set with an oval opal cut en cabochon within an openwork filigree brooch, in 10ct gold, together with a Victorian tie pin set with a ruby, in 12ct gold. Literature: the pin was gifted by the then Prince Regent (known as 'Prinny') in 1804 to Sir Jonathan Francis Vivian Nicholas Hilary Bois St John Aubin, a painter/restorer in London (the London Gazette, 31 August 1972, P. 10420). Other Notes: This brooch belonged to Mrs Geraldine Keeshan, Margaret Vine's aunt. It was gifted to Margaret's mother, Lillian Grace Vine in Geraldine's Estate and consequently gifted to Margaret in her mother's estate.
