A Chinese white-glaze stem cup, Yongzheng six-character mark with incised eight Buddhist emblems, each above an Indian lotus, the lotus pattern repeated on the side of the foot, 16 cm diam., 10.3 cm high, A well known prototype, a similar piece with knopped stem was included in the Exhibition of Ch'ing Porcelain from the Wah Kwong Collection, Hong Kong, 1973, cat. no. 51. The same carved pattern also appears on yellow glazed pieces in prominent collections.
