A Chinese doucai plate, Kangxi period, apocryphal Chenghua six-character mark bearing possible museum accession number, '5 51728' to the base, 16 cm diam., 3.8 cm high. Provenance: Private collection, Hong Kong, possibly acquired during the 1970s or earlier. Private collection, New South Wales thence by descent.
