A Chinese carved jade dragon, with stand, qing Dynasty 1664-1912. Provenance: private collection, originally purchased from the jade gallery 1970s, in muted celadon colours, exquisitely carved and pierced with a writhing dragon within flaming clouds, the slightly concave base with pairs of small holes indicating its purpose as a hat finial for a person of high status; with a carved display stand, height 5 cm
